During Nozomi’s chapter in Act 1, a student named Yusuke Tsuji hints to this past event in anger at Nozomi not being able to do anything to free his girlfriend, Yu Nishioka, from Kurama’s control. This however, has also caused Nozomi to view herself as a “fake” person.
Nozomi has never forgiven herself for what she sees as her getting Hikari killed, and decided to try and live more like Hikari did in order to honor her memory. The supposed “ghost” of the park was really a murderer who killed Hikari when she went to get Nozomi’s bag. Hikari’s body was found in the park by her mother that night. A couple hours passed and Nozomi got help for the police and her parents as well as Hikari’s to find her. It was already pitch black outside and she was too scared to go into the park herself, so Hikari said she would get it for her and be back. Some classmates took her book bag and hid it in a park that was said to be haunted. As a child she was easily frightened and had a close friend, Hikari. She is associated with hope.ĭuring route 2 she reveals past events of her life before the game. She is now the president of the True Student Council formed to resolve the anomalies plaguing the academy and one of the protagonist's four fated companions.
